For AI assistants

Questions

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no paid plan and no cap on documents. Storing documents costs very little, and OpenApps pays for it.
Are electronic signatures from Sign legally binding?
In the US (ESIGN Act, UETA), the EU (eIDAS, simple electronic signatures) and most other countries, an electronic signature is valid when people intend to sign and a record of it is kept. Sign records who signed, when, from which link, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact document. Some documents, such as wills or certain real estate filings, need more than an electronic signature, so check the rules for yours.
Do signers need an account?
No. Each signer gets a private link and signs in the browser.
Can my AI assistant use it?
Yes. Sign has a public API that needs no key. An assistant can create a document from text, add signers and get back their signing links. See the API section on the app.
Who can see my documents?
Only people with the document's private links. The links are long and random.
